CHALLENGES
POA managed surgical scheduling using seven different software systems, through a repetitive and labor intensive workflow. One of those systems generated some of their forms semi-automatically, but none of the patient letters were standardized. Staff could not easily access information since everything was managed in paper folders. Added to this, POA has two physician-owned ASCs that were manually feeding information to one another, which resulted in items going missing.
