All the schedulers at OP shared one paper calendar, which led to bottlenecks when many surgeries needed to be booked at the same time. There was a choice of over 100 forms for the schedulers to complete by hand for any given surgery. The team used an accordion folder to store their bookings – making it difficult to track where cases stood in the precert process and leading to many orders being lost.
