POA managed their surgical scheduling using seven different software systems, through a repetitive and labor intensive workflow. One of those systems generated some of their forms, but none of the patient letters were standardized, nor were the forms entirely automated. They also had no easy way to access information since everything was managed in paper folders. Added to this, the practice has two physician owned ASCs that were manually feeding information to one another, and things fell through the cracks.

In 2012, Surgimate was implemented to automate and streamline scheduling. All information is now transparent and schedulers can instantly identify the status of any surgical case. Information is automatically synchronized with both ASCs and all staff have access to the information whenever they need it.
