Senior National Sales Representative

About The Position

At Surgimate, we are on a mission to change how healthcare practices coordinate the most important part of their business – surgery.

As a Senior National Sales Representative, you generate new client business, meet sales targets, and maintain client relationships with leading surgical practices nationwide. You are a team player who loves to learn and has a big appetite for working through challenges to get accurate results. You are professional, responsive, and have a constant motor that motivates your team and clients to keep things progressing. You are also highly ethical, putting the interests and reputation of your prospects and the company first. 

You report to our Chief Growth Officer and partner with Marketing, Customer Experience, and Finance leaders to generate new client business, meet sales targets, and ensure new customers get off to a great start with their brand-new Surgimate suite. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

Manage the complete B2B sales cycle, including inventive lead generation, qualification, assessment, demo, consultation, negotiation, and close.  

  • Present Surgimate product(s) and value proposition to prospective clients both online and in-person 
  • Provide onsite consultation to select clients to analyze workflows, identify needs, and identify pain points that uncover opportunities for Surgimate to add value. 
  • Generate consultative analyses for prospects, including workflow assessment and ROI calculations, to demonstrate the power of Surgimate for our prospects. 
  • Use a process-driven approach to sales to maintain deal momentum and create genuine client commitment to change. 
  • Cultivate relationships and build trust with multiple stakeholders, including C-Suite, physicians, a wide range of clinical staff, and office support and administrative personnel.  
  • Produce and regularly monitor accurate forecasts to analyze quotas 
  • Document all communications, notes, and updates in the CRM system  
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and SDR teams to facilitate lead pipeline while engaging in self-driven prospecting activities 

Develop a deep understanding of current overall trends and challenges in the industry 

Visit clients onsite, attend industry conferences, and join in-person company events in the US 

Secondary Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the Professional Services team with project implementation by supporting a highly collaborative hand-off process (documented business challenges, process design, optimized workflows, etc.) 
  • Support Client Success in cultivating relationships with existing Surgimate clients to ensure ongoing success and future references

Requirements

  • 10+ years of direct sales experience 
  • 5+ years of experience independently selling SaaS to net new logos with demonstrated success selling to large organizations (500+ employees)  
  • Extensive experience selling enterprise productivity software solutions, preferably to organizational C-suites 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down processes, see opportunities, and analyze and demonstrate return on investment 
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (both in person and on the phone) 
  • Positive attitude and a love for contributing to the team and culture 
  • Proven ability to build strong customer relationships 
  • Demonstrate technical aptitude and ability to acquire industry knowledge 
  • Working knowledge of CRM, preferably Salesforce 
  • Self-motivated with a proven record of success 
  • Ability to travel (approximately 50% of the time) 
  • Bachelor’s degree 

Preferred experience:

  • Selling enterprise software to US surgical practices (orthopedic, ophthalmology, ENT, urology).  
  • Selling Electronic Health Record systems / Practice Management Systems / Revenue Cycle Management Systems
